Bitter Sweet

Tonight is the last night that the girls will spend in this house.  We have lived here for four years.  Susannah doesn't remember living anywhere else and this is the only home Lilly has had.  Rosie remembers all the way back to Dubois and she misses it, but I think she will miss it here more.  Even with all of the trials and tribulations we have had here, it has been my most favorite in my adult life.  It is also the longest place I have ever lived in my adult life.  Only those that live this particular life would understand that. Although I have never minded moving on, I did want things to be different for the girls. Albeit sad, moving on is what "we" do.

Trail to....Saratoga

The trail is taking the girls and I to Saratoga for a few months while Ash starts his new job in Russia.  We will surely miss him, but we'll be thankful that he goes to get established before he comes back to get us.  Plus it will give me time to work on some leather orders and a saddle.

Ash's departure date is sometime toward the end of February.
